We signed up for a Netflix free trial, two at a time for a month. These are the movies we watched:

The Pursuit of Happyness: Great story. Well done. ****Really Liked It. (Might have loved it but for the frustration of a damaged disk...not a good first impression, Netflix)

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: Grab a beer, a bag of peanuts...and don't forget your towel! How many times will we watch this movie? 42. So long, and thanks for all the fish! Hilarious! ****Really Liked It.

X2: X-Men United: A lot of sci-fi violence, but moments of truth like this:

Nightcrawler: You know, outside the circus, most people were afraid of me. But I didn't hate them. I pitied them. Do you know why? Because most people will never know anything beyond what they see with their own two eyes.
Storm: Well, I gave up on pity a long time ago.
Nightcrawler: Someone so beautiful should not be so angry.
Storm: Sometimes anger can help you survive.
Nightcrawler: So can faith. ****Really Liked It.

X3: Last Stand: There was a lot of darkness, evil, anger, and ugliness in this movie. The theme about self-control was focused on the disastrous effects of losing control. The glimmer of hope at the end, which was left open for a sequel, was not enough to redeem the darkness that pervaded the movie for us. ***Liked It.

Hotel Rwanda: Wow. I added Beyond the Gates and Sometimes In April to our Netflix queue and Left to Tell (reviewed by two of my favorite bloggers earlier this year and more recently) to my Amazon Wish List. *****Loved It.

Schindler's List: It's horrible that these things really happened. Although we really enjoyed the movie, we felt that there was at least one unnecessary scene. ****Really Liked It

Finding Neverland: Interesting story with good character development. ****Really Liked It

Miss Potter: Very sweet movie. Well done. ****Really Liked It

Ever After: The real Cinderella story. *****Loved It

Rear Window: Hitchcock suspense starring Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly. *****Loved It

Notorious: Hitchcock suspense starting Ingrid Bergman and Cary Grant. *****Loved It
