It took a long time to find accurate information about these tiger lilies, because people all over the web call any orange lily, including daylilies, a "tiger lily". I believe that I have correctly identified these beautiful flowers that grow so easily and add a wave of orange color to our landscape at the end of each July. It is a non-native plant, introduced from Asia, that works well in a large area because it spreads readily from bulbils. It is interesting to read that although the bulb is edible and used for medicinal purposes, and the flowers are edible, that the pollen is considered poisonous.
