Last fall we saw a few Chinese Mantis on our property. This spring we found several of those marshmallow-looking egg sacs (called ootheca) on trees in our windbreak.

We haven't seen any evidence all summer that they'd hatched, until today, when we found a Chinese Mantis near our climbing roses.
