...TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF A QUARTER OF AN INCH OR A BIT MORE ARE LIKELY...ESPECIALLY ON VEHICLES...TREES AND POWER LINES.
I woke up this morning to an ice-glazed world full of the sounds of ice breaking like glass under my feet, creaking branches resisting the wind, then loud cracks, and a waterfall of shattering ice as one falls to the ground, snapping weighted branches below.
UPDATE: We are thankful that we didn't lose power today. As the temperatures have crept above freezing, the ice has begun to melt, resulting in localized hail storms under each tree and icicles plunging from the eaves. For some reason I'm in the mood to watch A Christmas Story...
