trouble

I'm not talking about any of my kids, although Stephen is at that stage...but this post is about the wildlife in my backyard. Last year we had a mysterious guest eat all of our tomato plants. This year, we have not yet planted the tomato and peppers that we bought for Mother's Day because 1)It has been too muddy; and 2)I am preparing some cages to protect the plants from our groundhog, who has come out of hibernation. It's hard to get a clear picture through a screened window, but here he is again, bigger than last year with, presumably, a bigger appetite:
