Have I mentioned that we're residing the house this summer? It was going to be a spring project, avoiding the heat and humidity of a Nebraska summer, but it rained pretty much all spring. So, we had some nice weather in June and got a good start, with a lot of help from my dad, ripping off all the old siding, putting up new trim boards around the windows, and wrapping the house up in Tyvek. Installation of the new fiber cement siding is slow, but steady in the heat and humidity. The second story of the north side of the house is going to look like this for a while because we are renting scaffolding and need to move it to where it is needed...



...like along the west side of the house. Just look at all those ladders! I think the goal for next week is to finish this up...a little at a time each evening and a big effort on Saturday should do it:
