following the rules

Catherine came home last week with a new toothbrush, a little toothpaste sample, and instructions on how to brush her teeth. She has been very diligent about doing it just the way the pictures show (and making sure that her sister and brothers do it that way, too). She even jumps out of bed to make sure that she has time to brush them before school. I need to remember this when it is time to teach her something new. If there are "rules" to follow (and mommy didn't make them up) then she will follow them with zeal! She has even brought me the dental floss and told me, "Mom, you're supposed to help me fleece my teeth."
