Happy 6th Birthday Teresa

Yesterday was a rainy day; not at all like last year. As a matter of fact, we don't even have any black-eyed susans blooming this year. (it's been such a cool summer that everything has been late...but it doesn't help that the plants got mowed down earlier this summer, either).



Teresa had fun helping make her birthday cake. The directions included adding 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup of oil, and 3 eggs, perfect for teaching about equal parts in thirds. We baked it and set in on top of the stove to cool but you can see what one little brother can do to a cake in a few minutes:



Here's the little stinker (who cut his hair, again 2 days ago. This time he didn't do such a nice job):



We tried taking what was left and making it into a "T" for Teresa, but it's not beautiful, just made with love...from a box.



In spite of the rain and storms, there was a beautiful rainbow and colorful sunset that we got to enjoy on the way home from her favorite Chinese restaurant. I'm sorry we didn't bring the camera. Happy 6th Birthday, Teresa!
