poor rooster

This is our Easter Egger rooster with one of his hens of the same breed. I've been calling her Sylvia. She's different than the rest - we often find her roosting in the rafters of our garage instead of the coop.


Have you ever wondered where the term "henpecked" comes from?



Just look what it does to the poor guy!



Now...I've been looking at pictures of other Easter Egger roosters and they don't have a crest like ours...but I can't find a picture of a rooster that does look like this guy. He's like a cross between an Easter Egger and a Spitzhauben. What do you think?
