I also read a thousand picture books and easy readers and am moving into chapter books that the kids are interested in.  Some of our more advanced books included a couple of horrible Junie B. Jones, Magic Tree House #1-29, assorted Rainbow Magic Fairy books from the school library, and Beezus and Ramona.  Let's just say I'm glad we read these together.
