new furniture

With much gratitude to Adam's aunt and uncle, we have an new couch and loveseat in our living room and a new recliner in the TV room.  Ellen made the beautiful slipcovers.  She embroidered the kids' towels and superhero capes for Christmas last year and she sews lots of other great stuff that you can check out at Crazy Daisy Designs.

We moved a few things around upstairs, as well.  Grandma Q gave us another loveseat (that she made the slipcover on.  They have a sewing gene in their family).  It is in our bedroom, which I rearranged and love, now.  We've been putting the kids to bed and THEN sit down to pray the Rosary out loud, which has been great.  It keeps the kids from goofing around after bedtime prayers and for the first time in 10 years we're praying the Rosary daily as a family.

I turned the queen mattress in our guest/computer room on end because it rarely gets used.  I pinned it against the wall with Michaela's crib, which was previously in our bedroom, and a small dresser, which was also in our bedroom.  We all sleep so much better, now.
