not so perfect

Anthony has been saying words that start with an "s-consonant combination" (?) and end with a "k" sound incorrectly. (He can say words like "sock" just fine). It all started when mommy got the car stuck in the muddy driveway. He started saying gussssss-k (with a special emphasis on the -k) while looking out the window. I thought perhaps he was pronouncing truck incorrectly, but he'd use it at other times and "truck" didn't make sense. We couldn't figure out what he was talking about until he found a plunger we hadn't been using in the closet and started carrying it around. Daddy "stuck" it to the coffee table and he pulled on it and groaned, "GUSSSSS-K" OH! He's been saying stuck! Where the "g" comes from, I'm not sure but he shifts the "s" to the end of all these words and puts his signature emphasis on the "-k": snack (nasssss-k), snake (nakesssss-k), smack (masssss-k)...we even tried to have him say a nonsense word, snork, and he said it wrong, too (norsssss-k). So much for his pronunciation perfection. At least it's cute and we've been able to figure out what he's trying to say!
