First, to my dad, who worked hard every day, all day, while he was here. All the old siding is off. All the new Tyvek is up and so are all the trim boards. Now, Adam has the long, tedious job of installing the new siding. The biggest, and best, thing my dad did was all the clean-up as they worked. If he hadn't been here to do that - I would have had a long, hard, dirty job to do with all the kids in tow (been there, done that when we re-roofed the house...and the porches, later). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Second, to my mom, who helped with the mending, child-care, cleaning, cooking, and shopping. I was able to to work on a few extra projects and get a little extra rest with another set of capable hands helping out around the house. Before leaving, she went on one extra shopping trip, leaving me a new can of coffee in the pantry (for Adam), a new jar of chili powder on the spice rack, an extra bag of cereal in the cupboard, a fresh brick of cheese in the refrigerator, a new package of toilet paper in the linen closet and who knows what other treasures...thank you so much!

Third - a thank you to Jesse, our friend and neighbor, who has been helping out with - just about everything. He's a very good friend to Adam. We are also thankful for other friends who have offered to help - we'll be giving you a call, soon. :)

Finally, a thank you to my hard-working husband, who is using his summer vacation to save us a ton of money by re-siding the house himself. I've said it before and I'll say it again: It is such a blessing to have a handy husband.

I'm going to try to get all the pictures on my camera from the last week + cropped and resized for a Wordless Wednesday post here, tomorrow. It's supposed to be 90 degrees and, after all the rain we've been having, humid with a chance of more thunderstorms; so we'll likely be spending the day inside with the A/C on for the first time this year...Adam is outside hooking that back up, now...we've had wonderfully cool weather this month; probably the best weather my parents have ever seen during a visit to Nebraska...
